Safety Is No Accident
The summer thus far:
Absolutely nothing for about 2 weeks, lots of sleeping and crochetting.
Random trip to Holland, MI to surprise my Jennica on her birthday. Many a fun time and also some good talking. My frisbee golf game is slightly rusty, however.
Ryan, Julie, and Sammy Haack moved into my house (in other words, my sister and her peoples). They have successfully cleared my mother's things from sight and replaced them with hip and cute things that all belong to Jules. The house looks great, and still feels like home. Plus, how cool is it to have family again? I'm loving that they are here.
I am now a member of the Sheet Metal Workers International Union. I work at Carnes Comapany now, 40 hours a week. Mosly I spot weld (sounds cool, eh?), but sometimes I put frames together. They make air conditioners, and I am honored to be aiding in the preparation of the vents. Glamorous as a factory job sounds, I'm absolutely exhausted from standing 8 hours a day and constantly being showered with sparks. I'm also rather tired of the permanent dirt that refuses to come off of my forearms.
I'm teaching tiny children how to dance (or trying to teach them, mostly we just fall down a lot). I have discovered that I am not called to teach children under the age of 10 or so. I like kids a lot, but trying to get them to be quiet and try to be coordinated is just too hard. Hopefully I won't have to deal with it any more after this. It's a great resume filler, but it's a pain in the butt.
Summer continues, life goes on. I'm doing fine, for those of you who are concerned. Things will be dealt with as things are dealt with, I guess. Thanks for caring, I love you guys. Well, back to it.

Welder by day, dance teacher by night? Sounds like someone's trying to relive Flashdance. ;) - Kath
