Just call me Peggy Sue

You know that poem that starts "Dance like no one is watching"? Forget the rest of it, and just do that part, a lot.

New Shoes

This week I bought two pairs of shoes. Now, normally, I hate shoes. I hate shopping for shoes. I hate wearing new shoes. I have worn the same kind of shoes for the last 7 years because I don't care any more than to go to the store and get the same kind in the same size once the old ones wear out. But this week, I've done the unspeakable twice. The first pair is a pair of $250 tap shoes. They are gorgeous. I had them sent out to NY to be re-soled, so they are super cool looking. They have nice thick soles, the taps are put on wonderfully, they are just the right weight and they look really nice. They were expensive, yes, but they sound awesome and will last me a long time. The second pair was really off a whim. I saw this girl wearing these shoes I liked, and just went out and bought them. Impulse buying = not good, but they are so cute. And comfy. And for once actually hip. And not too hip that I'll look stupid. If the photo-blogger thing worked, there should be a post of a picture of them. I like them, at least, and that's good enough for me. Plus, my normal sneakers are getting kinda gross already (they usually last longer than this, oh well.). So an odd week, with new shoes. I don't think I'll make this a habit.
