Just call me Peggy Sue

You know that poem that starts "Dance like no one is watching"? Forget the rest of it, and just do that part, a lot.

Inspiration

A poem by Ryan Haack

Legs
like scissors
slicing, cutting, tearing the
air
bending, flexing, angular

Arms
like an angry sea
flailing, crashing, waving
then
calm, serene, pristine

Feet
flexed, pointed
Toes
curled, straightened
Hands, fingers
plunging into
Empty space
Back
Curved, smooth
bent, wrenched

dance.

It's a nice way to honor Ryan's birthday, by posting a poem by him. Bravo.

Well, this was a bit unexpected. I actually wrote this at work in like 3 minutes. Glad you like it, Paula. :-)
