My Apartment

Welcome to number 209! This is the front door, and the little entryway. Just enough room for my shoes, and a nice little coat closet.
This is the "living room," or really just the studio space. I just moved the furniture around, and it makes it much more spacious. I spend a lot of time napping on that little couch, though it doesn't quite fit me very comfortably. You'll notice that I have coffee table books (aren't I sophisticated) and books enough to fit that shelf two layers deep (doesn't feel like home without books).
This is the "bedroom" part of the studio. My little bed seems very little, but it's the only warm part of the apartment (no heat yet). See the telephone table? I love that thing. And that picture of a flower is apparently by my grandfather, so I've got the start of quite the family heirloom collection if you add in that coffee table. If you look hard, you can see my bike in the closet at the end of the little hallway (seemed like a better idea than hanging it over the bed).
This is the little bathroom. Not really much to say. It is nice to have my own bathtub, I use it all the time.
So now you've seen it, and you should come visit! We can borrow an air mattress from Kathleen :)

When Julie comes, she can bring the aerobed from our closet, if she remembers to charge up the air-thingy. It looks cozy and warm. What a great lot of shoes you have! But more books than shoes--that's great. I like the furniture this way--you can walk around better, and you can eat on the sofa, then reach back and put your dishes in the kitchen. Wish I could come visit sooner. Love ya

that really IS a great apartment! Very very cute. More modern than I expected (starving artists in "my day", the '50's and '60's, lived in dilapidated rat-traps in Soho in lower Manhattan). I am so happy that you love the telephone table so much. Your grandmother and namesake, Paula Grahmann, my mother, LOVED that table. I am so glad that you do too. Love, Dad
